Religious Education Program

Children are engaged and instructed in the Maronite Catholic faith, based on the Faith of the Mountain curriculum. 

Classes for Kindergarten through Sr. High School

During the school year, students aged 5 – 19 attend grade-specific classes each Sunday from 10:30 AM – 11:25 AM (between the 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM Masses).

Registration opens in August for the 2026/2027 school year.

1st Holy Communion Preparation

Preparation for the Mystery of First Holy Communion is incorporated into the Religious Education Program curriculum for children who:

  • are baptized in the Catholic Church,
  • are currently in the second (2nd) grade or higher,
  • have completed at least one prior year of religious education, OR
  • attend a Catholic parochial school.

St. Sharbel’s program is designed as a two-year program for first and second graders as Year 1 and Year 2 Communion Preparation. However, we accommodate students in any grade who wish to complete the Mystery of 1st Holy Communion at St. Sharbel.
